Lara, from DRA Hotshots, took time off this morning to do some door knocking and offer rides to people in need. Polling places were filled with voters and blustery November weather did little to hold them back. Creating a sense of community while practicing our right to vote is a great reminder of how lucky we are to have this privilege.
“No matter what our political beliefs, I think American citizens, regardless of age or ability, should be able to get to the polls and cast their votes,” said Lara. “Others just want someone to talk to who will respect their political views and visit with them in their homes.”
In the end, we all want what’s best for the nation, and finding common ground among neighbors is a great place to start.
